About the Book
Written in poetry by Michael Starr and superbly illustrated by Nancy Parczyk, The Great Willow will surprise, delight and leave you with a feeling of wonder. Come, join the adventure…

A story of adventure, wonder and friendship. It all begins when Wolfpup becomes curious about the farm beyond the edge of the meadow. Against her mothers warning that it is forbidden to play on the farm, she goes anyway. There, she meets Duckling, afraid of water, he watches his brothers and sisters splash and play in the pond. Wolfpup accepts Duckling for who he is and they become instant friends. They soon head off into the forest on an adventure without a destination in mind. Three little bugs, sitting on a branch that looks like a bow, direct them to The Great Willow. Along the way, they meet many friendly creatures that help direct them toward their destination. “Like a big blanket, it covers you up. Just like the sky, or an upside down cup. Stay on the path and don’t go astray, you could be there by the end of the day!”
Come join Wolfpup and Duckling on their quest for The Great Willow where the fun and adventure may never end. The friends they meet and the lessons they learn all lead to a nail biting climax that will leave you wanting more.
